Eight checks. Each one maps to a specific finding from a public study, and each result links to the study so you can argue with it. Two deliberate omissions: we do not score llms.txt (Ahrefs analysed server logs across 137,000 domains and found 97% of llms.txt files received zero requests that month, with AI bots at 1.1% of all requests and SEO audit tools the most frequent reader at 21.7%; Google's AI search guidance states it has no ranking effect), and we do not score keyword rank (Ahrefs measured only ~12% of ChatGPT/Gemini/Copilot citations also appearing in Google's top 10, and Google's own AI Overviews figure dropped from 76% to 38% between two studies seven months apart).
The studies disagree with each other on the size of the gap, because they measure different things: exact-URL agreement, domain agreement, and brand-name mentions are three separate numbers from one dataset. That is why every check here inspects your own page instead of scoring you against a single headline figure.
